72Ernest Mahiai Makalii, 90, of Honolulu, formerly of Pukalani, Maui, a Haleakala Ranch employee, retired state prison guard and Department of Agriculture employee, died. He was born in Makawao, Maui. He is survived by son Warren J., daughter Mary-Agatha Leighnor, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
