73Douglas M. "Dano" Vallente Sr., 70, of Hilo, formerly of Honokaa, Hawaii, a bus driver for Laupahoehoe Transportation Co. and former Bragado Bus Services of Honokaa, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honokaa. He is survived by son Douglas M. Jr., daughter Jane P. Makuakane, brothers Alan Vallente and Ralph Cordoban, and sisters Frances "Grama Epps" Epenesa and Carmen Alfiler. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire.
