Age 66, of Honolulu, passed away on Sunday July 29, 2012. She was born in Lanai City, Hawaii. She was a retired word processing supervisor for The Hartford Insurance Company. She is survived by daughters Michelle (Ross) Iwamoto and Roxanne (Patrick) Lopez; mother Connie Smith; grandchildren Anyssa and Alexia Iwamoto; sisters Linda (Scotty) Recarte and Sheila (Thomas) Moore; brothers Dominador, Stanley and Douglas (Rizanita) Daguay.
Services to be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at St. Patrick Church in Kaimuki @ 11:00 am. Visitation at 10:00 am. No Flowers. Private Burial.

JAMES HISASHI MIYAMURA
James Hisashi Miyamura passed away peacefully in his sleep in Napa, CA on Monday, July 2nd at the age of 80.
James was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 10, 1931 and grew up living on Akepo Lane. He attended Hawaiian Mission Academy through high school. After graduating from Business School, he served in the Army during the Korean War. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler and also enjoyed softball and golfing.
He was a civil service worker for 33 years, affiliated with the Marine Corp Air Station at Kaneohe, the 14th Coast Guard District at Honolulu, and the Navy, which sent him and his family to various naval installations from Pearl Harbor to Yokosuka, Japan, New Orleans, San Diego and Vallejo. He retired in October of 1988 but soon returned to a fulltime position, working for Big D Products as their Office Manager and finally retiring for good in June 1995.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Amy, daughters Lee and Anne, and 4 of his 8 siblings and their families; sisters Helene (Ronald) Yamamoto, Edith (Donald, deceased) Radcliffe, Betsy (Pierson) Koike and brother, Henry (Marianne, deceased). His sisters Ethel and Loretta (Edward) Pestrello and brothers, Donald (Georgianna) and Clifton predeceased him.
Private services for family were held in Napa and Hawaii.

Age 93, of Mililani, HI, passed away July 24, 2012 in Mililani. Born August 22, 1918 in Honolulu, HI. A legendary Harley Davidson motorcycle racer, #99 at Ewa Beach Cane Fields, Honolulu Stadium, Waimanalo, Kahuku Airstrip, and Hawaii Raceway Park. Also a founding member of the oldest “Oahu Motorcycle Club (OMC)”.
He is survived by sons; Jack Ching, Jr., Lawrence (Teri) Ching; daughters, Merlyn Ching Silva, JoAnn (Donald) Sato, Karen (Bryan Lindberg) Paty; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Willie (Ida) Ching; sisters, Violet Chew, Eleanor Lung.

SIXTO “ITONG” MORAL CABAL
Age 96, of Wahiawa, Hawaii, passed away July 27, 2012 in Wahiawa. Born September 27, 1915 in Ivana, Batanes, Philippines. He served as a town board member and Mayor of the town of Ivana, Batanes, and was well-loved and highly respected by the people of Batanes.
In 1969, Sixto moved with his family to Wahiawa, Hawaii. He served as a dedicated employee for the Dole Company and McDonalds of Hawaii (21 years) and retired in 1991. Since his move in 1969, Sixto has been a devout and loyal parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Wahiawa, Hawaii. He was an avid fan of “The Price is Right” and all types of sports.
He is preceded in death by his son Rolando “Ben” Cabal, his parents Geronimo and Tomasa Cabal, brothers, Louie and Mariano Cabal; and sister Josefa Cabal Valiente.
He is survived by wife, Rosario “Yayong Rose” Donato Cabal; son, Oscar (Irene Acosta) Donato Cabal; daughters, MaChellie (Roger) Cabal Rabanal, Lilian (Jose) Cabal Barsana; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

August 20, 1952, Honolulu Hawaii – July 22, 2012, Sonoma, California
Kaelene Puanani Ahu Rey passed away peacefully at home in Sonoma with family and dear friends at her side after a valiant battle against a complicated illness. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Bob, their loving sons Kellen and Ryan, sister Debra, brothers Kelly and Bryan and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Kaelene is remembered for her extraordinary kindness and generosity of spirit which was felt by all those who knew her. She profoundly touched the lives of many in both Hawaii where she grew up and continued to spend time, and in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as Sonoma where she and Bob settled to raise their boys. Kaelene was deeply engaged in her quiet way in preserving and sharing her Hawaiian heritage in its many manifestations and warmly embraced all who walked into her life. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday August 25th at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary in Kaneohe, Hawaii. A public viewing begins at l0 AM followed by the service.

Honolulu on April 24, 1931. She is survived by husband Abednigo F. Glipa, sons Aaron Michael, Dathan, and Gentry-Joshua, daughters Roxanne Burnett, Jere Glipa, and Dodie Shigeta, seventeen grand-children, and fifteen great-grandchildren, and sister Lucy Toler. Services will be held at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel on August 24)012 at 9:30a.m, burial will be at Hawaiian Memorial Park at 3pm. Casual attire.
