ROBERT (BOB) EDWARD BJERKE
Robert (Bob) Edward Bjerke passed away July 20, 2012, at his home in Las Vegas. Bob was born in Valley City, North Dakota, the son of Henry Clayton and Emma Bjerke. He received his BA and Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota. Bob moved to Honolulu in 1962 to start his own commercial real estate development company. He developed the first enclosed shopping center in Hilo and later Prince Kuhio Plaza. He received special recognition from the Hawaii House of Representatives for his support of The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands. Bob was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, the Navy League, the National Council of Shopping Center Developers, Central Union Church, Waialae CC, and the Pacific Club. Bob is survived by his wife, Libby (Darline), their two children, Dr. H. Scott Bjerke (Janet) and Heather Dickinson (Mark), and his three grandsons, Chris and Henry Dickinson and Duncan Bjerke. His ashes will be spread in the Pacific Ocean across from his long time home. Memorial contributions may be made to Daughters of Hawaii or Punahou School.

Howard passed away peacefully in San Diego. Born in Yakima, Washington, Howard grew up in Kailua, Hawaii. He graduated from Kailua High School in 1969. Howard worked for Pacific Bell in San Diego for 21 years and retired in 1999.
Howard is survived by Jean Mackinnon; his father, Howard M. Rigler, Jr.; sisters, Victoria Asaeda, Antonia Slatten, Linda Osborne, and Laura Rigler.
Howard will always be remembered for his love of nature and music. Rest in peace, Charlie.

Harold Aukai Naumu

HAROLD AUKAI NAUMU
Harold Aukai Naumu of Lihue, Kauai, passed away at his home on August 16, 2012 at the age of 82. He was born on July 29, 1930 in Hanapepe, Kauai.
After graduating high school, he met the love of his life Amy Shinagawa, to whom he was married 60 years.
Harold began his career with the local airlines before becoming a councilman for the county of Kauai. After serving two terms, he continued with the county and was appointed by the Mayor to the parks and recreation department from which he retired.
Dedicating his life to the youth and people of Kauai, Harold was one of the original Founders of WESCON Pop Warner Football (which still exists today) that formed in 1972 with the following states: Arizona, California, Nevada and all the Hawaiian Islands. Tony Rizzo, now the last of the original founders of Wescon, says that Harold was the best spokesman for Pop Warner throughout the state of Hawaii although he is most notably remembered for his legendary announcing style at KIF Football games.
He is preceded in death by his parents Aukai Wailele & Violet Aiu Apao Naumu; brothers, David, Wallace, Leilehua & Castle; sisters, Violet ‘Honey’ Young, Dora Hao, Helen Kaneakua, Judy Stewart; brothers in law, Abraham Hamm Young, Joseph Hao, Harry Kaneakua, Enoka Kaohi & Gene Murata; sister in Law, Rose Ruiz Naumu; Son in Law, Anthony Balocan.
He is survived by his wife Amy Shinagawa Naumu; sons, Harold Wallace Naumu & Robb Naumu; daughters, Doreen (Chris) Tamura, Laureen Naumu-Balocan; grandchildren, Daurice (Clifton) Tamura Arruda, Teresa (Brent) Tamura Amoy, Cy Tamura & Sean (Sarah) Tamura; great grandchildren Akoni ‘AJ’ Arruda, Aukai Arruda, Ayven Arruda, Aries Arruda, Brayden Tamura & Ethan Tamura; brother Arnold (Linda) Naumu; sister Minerva Kaohi; brother in law, Edwin (Betsy) Shinagawa; sisters in law Elizabeth Naumu, Janet Naumu, Janine Naumu, Joan (Don) Masuda & Ann Murata; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
