DAVID DAI YUEN LAU
Passed away at home in Kahalu'u on August 20, 2012 at the age of 86. He was born in Honolulu on March 11, 1926 to Kong Fee and Mary Lau. He graduated from St. Louis High School in 1945 and served in the Army shortly after. He began his career as an electrician with Hawaiian Electric Company in 1947 and retired as an underground electrical inspector after 41 years. He loved fishing and enjoyed sharing the abundance of fruits, red gingers and pakalana flowers that he grew. David lived a life filled with good memories of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Emma. He is survived by daughter Kathleen Johnson (Mike); granddaughters Lynsey Bow (Will), Ashley Johnson, Korey Johnson; sisters Lucille (Nani) Yee, Theresa Wong, Christina Langsi, Juliette Bissen; brothers Ernest, Anthony, and Vincent Lau; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand-nephews.
Visitation 11am at St. Ann's Church. Service at 12:15pm. Burial 2pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
