KAAWA LAU
87, born in Honolulu, Hawaii died peacefully on September 8, 2012. Survived by children Kehaulani (Jube) Kuewa, Walter (Sandra) Lau and Stephen (Gaylynn Lehua) Lau, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, her sisters Alice Chun, Naomi Wilkinson, Diana Leialoha Ganon, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Lau and son William Lau. Catherine had a deep religious faith and served in several ministries at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She lived and shared the love of Jesus Christ throughout her life. Catherine retired as a manager of the men's department after being with Liberty House for 41 years. Her love for her job and kindness and care for customers were recognized by the Retail Merchants of Hawaii naming her its Outstanding Oahu Retail Salesperson in 1990. Services for Catherine will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Aiea, Oahu. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. Program: 10:45 a.m. Mass: 11:00 a.m. Burial: 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Aloha Attire.
