Shigeru Shimizu, also known as “Shige” and “Roy,” 90, of Hilo, a retired Hawaiian Sugar Planters’ Association employee and a commercial fisherman, died in Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. He was born in Mountain View, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Mieko; son Calvin; daughters Eloise Kuniyoshi and Audrey and Bessie Shimizu; brother Kiyoshi; sisters Stella Sasabe and Kikue Furukawa; and two grandchildren. Private services. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
