Eric Scott Shaw, 46, of Benton Harbor, Mich., formerly of Hilo, a registered nurse and Navy veteran, died in Kalamazoo, Mich. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by companion Paola Botto; sons Ethan J.K., Zane S.K. and Joshua M.B.; daughters Elizabeth S.N. and Zoe A.L.; mother of children Susan Villwock; hanai sons David and Joshua Hunt; mother Yvonne Carvalho Shaw; stepmother Judee Cline Shaw; brothers Edwin S. III, Michael K. and Brent A. Shaw, and Roger Cline; and sisters Lisa Gaye Shaw-Moody, Diane Leilani Shaw, Robin Cline Wagner and Casey Jo Cline. Services: 3 p.m. Monday at Central Union Church, 1660 S. Beretania St. Additional gathering: 4 p.m. at On On Chinese Restaurant. Casual attire. No flowers.
