Catharine Lori Johann Ryan, 31, of Waialua, a Coast Guard lieutenant who served as an MH-65C Dolphin helicopter commander at Barbers Point and a deck officer aboard the Coast Guard cutter Rush, died at home. She was born in Bayport, N.Y. She is survived by husband Kyle, mother C. Ann Demott, father Arthur R. Johann, brothers Arthur F. and Eric, sister Heather and grandmother Constance Hoernel. Burial: 3 p.m. today at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to the Self-Realization Fellowship: yogananda-srf.org.
