Edward Sumaylo “Eddie” Lapinid, 75, of Hono lulu, a member of the Hawaii Army National Guard and a missile operator for the Army, died in Hono lulu. He was born in Kualapuu, Molokai. He is survived by wife Alfreda B.; son Wayne E.; daughter Cynthia J.L.Miyashiro; brother Rehino; sisters Josephine L. Ponce, Cyrilla Fortenbery, Dolores Lapinid and Katie Baker; and three grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Thursday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services:11 a.m. Committal services:2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Cas ual attire.
