Misao “Sue” Yoshioka Rivera

MISAO SUE YOSHIOKA RIVERA Age 85, of Costa Mesa, CA died August 25, 2012 after a four-year struggle with cancer. Born December 18, 1926 on Maui, she was raised in Kaunakaki. Molokai. After graduating from Honolulu Business College as a stenographer, she began a 45-year career with the Federal Government. She worked at the US Embassies in Bonn, Germany and in Caracas, Venezuela. The last 28 years of her career was with the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in Santa Ana, CA. She is survived by her beloved husband, Italo Rivera of Costa Mesa, CA, brother. Isamu (Ruth) Yoshioka of Honolulu, HI, sisters Myrtle Asahino of Newport Beach, CA, Janet Nagasako of Hilo, HI and Cherry (Jerry) Kobashigawa of Walnut Creek, CA and ten nieces and nephews. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Pacific View Memorial Park and Mortuary, Corona del Mar, CA. Inurnment will be at Diamond Head Memorial Park on October 24, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Aloha attire
