80Violet Yaeko Hirata, 94, of Kealakekua, Hawaii, a homemaker and baby sitter in Kona, died. She was born in Honaunau, Hawaii. She is survived by daughters Jeanette Federspiel and Joyce Hancock; brother Mikio Izu; sisters Betsy Nishibun, Hannah Hirata, Betty Ebata and Loretta Kitaoka; and three grandchildren.
