Ricarte "Ricky" Tumacder, 83, of Hanamaulu, Kauai, a retired state Department of Education employee at Hale Hauoli and an Army veteran, died in Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Hanamaulu. He is survived by sons Robert, Ernest and Ricarte Tumacder Jr., and James Bergado; daughters Deborah Tumacder-Pickering, Sandra Sagisi Tumacder Moser, Melaney Ha‘o and Marylyn Lee; brother Dominador; sister Trining Fernandez; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Thursday at Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Lihue. Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial: 2 p.m. at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.
