Ricarte "Ricky" Tumacder, 83, of Hanamaulu, Kauai, a retired state Department of Education employee at Hale Hauoli and an Army veteran, died in Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Hanamaulu. He is survived by wife Emilia; sons Robert, Ernest and Ricarte Tumacder Jr., and James Bergado; daughters Deborah Tumacder-Pickering, Sandra Sagisi Tumacder Moser, Melaney Ha‘o and Marylyn Lee; brother Dominador; sister Trining Fernandez; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Thursday at Kauai Veterans Center, Lihue. Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial: 2 p.m. at Kauai Veterans Cemetery. Incorrect information published in an obituary Tuesday.
