Bernard Kenji “Popi”Adachi, 76, of Waianae, a retired firefighter at Waianae Fire Station, Engine 26, and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Lihue, Kauai. He is survived by wife Dorothy, son Arthur, daughters Alyshia Garcia and Aly Adachi, brother James, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation:5 p.m. Saturday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 6 p.m. Celebration of life potluck:11 a.m. Nov. 24 at Carlsmith Beach Park Pavilion in Keaukaha, Hilo. Casual attire. No flowers.
