Samuel Morrill Carter Jr., 89, of Washington, an architect, died in Olympia, Wash. He was born in Lihue. He is survived by son Samuel M. III, daughters Susan L. Chiaramonte and Cara C. Feliciano, stepbrother Charles Stubblefield, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oahu Cemetery. Casual attire.
