SARA ANN COSSON

SARA ANN COSSON NOV. 6, 2012 Sara Ann Cosson (Sadie), 44, of Haleiwa, died in her sleep at home. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa. Sara was a graduate of the University of Hawaii, and William S. Richardson School of Law. Her family and friends treasure the caring way she has given to children and cats so lovingly all her life. Sara is survived by her loving partner Joe Turner of Haleiwa. Her surviving family members include her sister Polly Cosson Tice of Kaneohe, her brothers Danny Cosson of New York City, and Noah Cosson of Kaneohe, her dad, John Cosson and his wife Clarissa Cosson (Noah’s parents) of Kaneohe, Debbie Wheeler (Danny’s mom) of Kaneohe, Tim Bradley her stepdad and his wife Kathryn Bradley of Kalihi, stepbrother David Bradley of Palm Desert, CA., her nephew Bennett Tice and his dad, her brother-in-law, Anderson Tice of Kaneohe, and her mom, Ann Cosson of Punalu’u. In addition, she is survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles and 5 wonderful kitties who will continue on in Pupukea with Joe. In lieu of flowers, a meaningful gift would be a donation to either the Hawaiian Humane Society or the Joyful Heart Foundation www.joyfulheartfoundation.org/saracosson. A private memorial service will be held in a place Sara and Joe loved.

MELVIN KUULEI KAHUNANUI
Age 61, of Waianae (formerly of Waimanalo), Hawaii, passed away November 8, 2012. He is survived by sons Melvin Kamuela (Trelawny) Kahunanui of Anchorage, Alaska, and Kaimanahila Lono; daughters Elena Kahunanui (Kurtis) Kaopuiki and Kuuleialoha Lono; mother, Esther Gaison Souza; sisters Karen MacDonald and Sharon Kaeo; brothers George Rin, Clayton and GaryLoo Kahunanui. He is also survived by Kahunanui grandchildren: Melvin (Kamuela Jr.) and Trevin (Irie Makaio) of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Kamakanionahenahe, Ilikea and Hokulani of Anchorage, Alaska. Scattering of ashes will be at a later date.

TOSHIAKI TOSHI MAEDA Age 89, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, passed away October 24, 2012 in Aiea. Born December 25, 1922 in Kilauea, Kauai, HI. Toshiaki was a retired carpenter from the Edgewater Hotel maintenance department. He is survived by wife, Edna Maeda; daughters, Carolyn (Michael) Takahashi, Susan Burris of IN, Patricia (William) Dew of AZ, Barbara (Gayland) Yee of Maui, HI, Janice (Glenn) Koki; brother, Hisao (Irene) Maeda; sisters, Betty Shikibu, Maureen (Scotty) Taketa; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Private services were held. No flowers, please. No koden, please.
