ERIC AKIO HAMADA
Eric Akio Hamada recently celebrated his 46th birthday on October 20th and passed away on the morning of November 5th. Eric was an avid fisherman and would often spend time with his fishing buddies. He was also an excellent bowler and was a member of the Whiz Kids at Aiea Bowl in his youth. He even rolled a perfect 300 game! Eric loved his job in the accounting department at the Halekulani, where he worked for nearly 22 years. Through his discussions with the chefs at the Halekulani, Eric developed his own concoctions and became known for his delicious boiled peanuts, beef jerky, smoked meats, awesome cheesecake and his deep fried turkey on Thanksgiving. Eric’s legacy will be perpetuated by his father, Isaac Hamada, and sister, Shari Ann Hamada. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, good nature and extreme generosity. We love you, Eric, and will miss you deeply. Visitation will commence at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary followed immediately by the service at 6:00 pm.
