Toshiko “Elsie” Makida, 83, of Hilo, a retired housekeeper at the former Hilo Lagoon Hotel, died in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Napoopoo, Hawaii. She is survived by son Gordon, daughter Kelly Wilson, brothers George T. and Kunitoshi Omori, sisters Mie Saito and Emiko Sakagawa, and three grandchildren. Private services.
