David A. Castillo, 78, of Reno, Nev., a civil service employee and an Army retiree, died in Reno. He was born on Kauai. He is survived by wife Belinda Dela Cruz; son David A. Jr.; daughter Sherrie M.; stepson James Dela Cruz; stepdaughter Angeline Kanehailua; brother Maximo; sisters Annie Javellana, Frances Kim and Lydia DeGrandis; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual attire. No flowers.
