HENRY MURRAY HOHNS
H. Murray Hohns, born on April 26, 1931 in New York City, passed away at St. Francis Hospice in Honolulu, Hawaii on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, December 10th at 5:30 pm at the New Hope Christian Fellowship Ministry Center at 290 Sand Island Access Road. Pastor Wayne Cordeiro will be officiating. Murray graduated from Tufts University in Boston in 1951 and received an MS degree from New York Polytechnic. His second MS degree was from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He had an amazing career as a world-wide consultant Civil Engineer, and founded his Firm with seven offices nationally. After semi-retiring and moving to Hawaii, he fulfilled a life-long dream by serving in ministry at New Hope and teaching at New Hope Christian College in Honolulu. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean, his brother William, eight children - William, Christopher, George, Elizabeth, Pamela, Deborah, Robert, and Kari, fifteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He loved his family, Hawaii, his life, and most of all, he loved Jesus. The family asks that Memorial gifts be given to New Hope Christian College in Murray's memory.
