Shiro Kanetani, 90, of Kurtistown, Hawaii, a retired Puna Sugar Co. laboratory analyst, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Masayo; son Arnold; daughters Karen Cambra, Patricia Straight and Gail Kanetani; brothers Masato and Tomeo; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private services. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
