Lawrence Palmer Mosher, 81, of Hilo, a retired Hawaii Air National Guard pilot, personal security guard for Gov. George Ariyoshi and an Air Force and Army veteran, died in Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Mildred; sons Scott and Dale; daughter Pamela Kau; stepsons Hutch, Patrick and Curtis Palmer; brother Fred; sister Barbara Blank; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Committal services: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
