Suemi “Sue” Yamauchi, 94, of Hilo, a retired baker at the former S.H. Kress Store in Hilo, former Job Corps cook and owner of Sue’s Place restaurant, died in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Papaikou, Hawaii. She is survived by daughters May F. Takushi and Joyce J. Okuna, sisters Michiko Kunimoto and Natsu Shimada, five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Private services. No monetary offerings.
