Hawayo Mikami, 94, of Hilo, a Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. retiree, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born in Onomea, Hawaii. She is survived by sons George "Bugs" and Norman, daughters Margaret Peeler and Elizabeth Root, sister Miyuki Nakamoto, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 5:30 p.m. Cremation to follow at Homelani Crematory. Casual attire.
