Howard Muneo Murakami, 89, of Wailuku, a retired Maui Electric Co. general account administrator and an Army veteran who served with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, died in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Paia, Maui. He is survived by wife Shirley; daughter Colette "Coco" Griffis; brothers Robert, Hirotada and Melvin; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Private services.
