Joe Tokio Asai, 92, of Kapaau, Hawaii, a retired Kohala Sugar Co. and Kohala Nursery employee, an Army veteran who served in World War II and a Hawaii Army National Guard retiree, died in NorthHawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Hawi, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Earl and Alvin, daughter Jocelyn Tengan, brother Scott, sisters Fumiko Matsumoto and Shizue Tatsuta, and two grandchildren. Visitation:2 p.m. Friday at Kohala Jodo Mission in Kapaau. Services:3 p.m. Casual attire.
