Verna Maria “Nana” Almadova, 85, of Honolulu, a retired telephone operator, died in St. Francis Hospice, Nuuanu. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by son Robert M. Cunningham; stepsons Bendale and Bryan; daughters Marcia Baptist and Becky and Marlene Almadova; stepdaughter Brenda; sisters Myrtle Silva and Nancy Hall; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Celebration of life:10 a.m. Saturday at Queen’s Surf, across from Kapiolani Park bandstand. Loose flowers and lei welcome.
