Dick Hoy “Uncle Hoy” Wong, 79, of Honolulu, a retired state personnel specialist and a Coast Guard veteran, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Beverly H.K. “Bev”; son Bryan W.K.; daughter Kim L.Y. Balisacan; brother Dick Wah; sisters Jennie Lum King, Quonnie Goo, Hoppy Ching and Marion Chun; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at First Chinese Church of Christ. Services: 10:30 a.m. Private inurnment.
