John Canon, 85, of Ewa Beach, a retired Honolulu Police Department sergeant and an Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Louise; sons Rodney and Jefferey; daughters Yvette Paz, Nadine C. Iinuma and Wanda Canon; brothers Lawrence and Danny; sister Darling Bajet; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 94-210 Kahualii St., Waipahu. Services: 10 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Aloha attire.
