FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

DR. NONI BRAR KOCH
DR. NONI BRAR KOCH 83, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2012 to be reunited with her husband Sepp. Born on July 29, 1929 in India where she studied medicine at the University of Panjab and then moved on to do her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. On her way to New York, she met her husband Sepp Koch on the Queen Mary. It was Sepp's dream to move to Hawaii, so after Dr. Koch's residency, they made Hawaii their permanent home. Dr. Koch was a compassionate and dedicated physician. Wellness and preventive medicine was her passion. In 1970 she was the director of Planned Parenthood in Ewa Plantation. She also practiced medicine at the old Kaiser Hospital, then moved on to being a part-time physician at the Student Health Center for the University of Hawaii and opened her private practice at the Queen's Medical Center. It was at Queen's Hospital where she dedicated over 30 years of service. Along with being a caring physician, she was also the most loving mother and grandmother. Her grand- children Tiana and Taja meant the world to her and becoming a grandmother was the most special day of her life. She was the matriarch of the Koch Ohana and will be deeply missed by the entire family. Although she is no longer with us, she will live on in our hearts and the hearts of all she touched, forever. She is survived by her son Raja (Nalani) , granddaughters Tiana and Taja, and grandson Christopher. Private Services will be held. Donations in her memory can be made to Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
