Herbert Kazuhiko Muraoka, 83, of Honolulu, retired director of the city Building Department, a building superintendent and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Marjorie, son Michael, daughters Gwen Yamada and Gale Lane, brother Arthur, sisters Florence Shibano and Nancy Muraoka, and seven grandchildren. Private services.
