72Louise Gomes Day, 100, ofHilo, a retired kitchen worker at the former Hilo Hospital, died in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by son James M. Jr.; daughters Doreen Mae Carter, Rose Marie Rose and Mona Lisa Tallett; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Private services.
