Shizue Tanaka, 89, of Hilo, a retired Hilo Airport custodian and former Kaumana Elementary School cafeteria helper, died in Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. She was born in Olaa, Hawaii. She is survived by son Wayne, daughters Patricia Matsuo and Merle Unoki, brother Takeshi Sakata, sister Kikue “Mary” Sueda and four grandchildren.Private services.
