78William Kaleikuaiwa "Billy" Lyman, 70, of Hilo, a retired Hawaii County Police Department lieutenant and owner of Lyman's Investigations, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Eileen Tredway; sons Scott A.K., Mark K. and Paul K.; brother Newton S. Jr.; sisters Tina L.N. Whitmarsh, Harriet L. Crumb and Pearl M. Lyman; and two grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Haili Congregational Church. Services: 10:30 a.m. Gathering to follow; location to be announced at services. Aloha attire. No flowers.
