Wayne “Big Dog” Joseph, 65, of Keaau, Hawaii, a retired Waiakea High School teacher, track and cross-county coach, sports writer and columnist for the Hawaii Tribune-Herald and an Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Randee Arkin, daughter Jaclynn, stepdaughter Sylas B. Wright and sister Julie Kaaiai. Visitation: 1 p.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary in Hilo.
