Y. Charles Tanigawa, 97, of Lihue, a retired Lihue Sugar Plantation employee, died. He was born in Kealia, Kauai. He is survived by sons Dennis and Alvin, daughters Ellen Uyehara and Jeanette Taam, sisters Iris Fukui and Carolyn Sakai, 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Private services.
