Joe Mendez, 90, of Honolulu, an Air Force chief master sergeant, died in Manoa Cottage, Kaimuki. He was born in Saspamco, Texas. He is survived by wife Stella, son David, numerous brothers and sisters, and a grandchild. Burial: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Aloha or casual attire. No flowers.
