79Thomas Veikko Viitala, 39, of Lahaina, a Lahaina Market Place maintenance department employee, died in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Elgin, Ill. He is survived by wife Daphne, sons Kanoa and Kahanu, parents William T. and Marlys I., brother Topi and sister Kim Raciborski. Private services.
