Rudy R. Alao, 59, of Kalaheo, Kauai, a retired Kauai County scale attendant and an Air Force veteran, died at home. He was born in Lihue. He is survived by wife Marilyn; sons Jensen and Gerald; brothers Dennis, Larry, Eric, Quintin, Gaivin and Vincent; and sisters Lydia Schornach, Rena Ulanday, Janice Gusman, Norma Alao and Zelda Alvarado. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Hanapepe.
