ROSS, JANE A. Joined her Lord and Savior on Sunday February 24th, 2013 at the age of 84. Jane is preceded in death by her parents Francis and Mary Ross, and dearest friend Martha Makaiwi. She is survived by her brother Joseph (Julie), nephews Frank Ross (Lori) and Richard Ross, grandnephew Brady Ross, and dear friend Louella King. She is remembered for her dedication to education and her great love of animals, especially her pet dog Vinny and her pet cat Muffy. Jane served as the principal for over 20 years at Hickam Elementary, where the library was dedicated and named in her honor, The Jane A. Ross Learning Center. The viewing and mass will be held on March 14th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, located at 1525 Waimano Home Rd. The viewing is from 10-11:30 AM, followed by mass at 11:30 AM. The burial with a graveside service will follow at the Valley of the Temples, located at 47-200 Kahekili Hwy.

October 2, 1930 – March 5, 2013 Ronald T.M. Ing passed away on March 5th, 2013 at his home. He retired in 1984 as Assistant Chief of Police from the Honolulu Police Department. He also retired as a Captain in the U.S. Army. In his retired life, Ronald enjoyed playing golf, traveling all over the world with his wife and taking photos of his many adventures. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Ing; son: Garrett (Mayumi) Ing; daughter: Lissa (Dan) Rodrigues two grand- children: Lauren Ing and Megan Rodrigues; sister: Linda (Richard) Matsushita. The Clarkin Family celebrated the life of Dr. John Paul Clarkin Jr, 1928 to 2013, on March 6, 2013 at Star of the Sea Church. A dedicated doctor, loving father, and caring brother. Dr. Clarkin served the community of Aina Haina as a dedicated pediatrician, and also worked as a doctor at Kaiser and the Honolulu Medical Group. He was an avid hobbyist with a wide range of talents and skills. Some of these interests included skeet shooting, deep sea fishing, radio controlled planes, ham radio, machine press, photography, treasurer for the Sons of Hawaii motorcycle club, leather and wood work and so much more. Dr. Clarkin was a perfectionist and excelled at the activities he put his time and energy. We will miss him! He is survived by: his children John Paul Clarkin III and Megan Clarkin O’Neill; his grandchildren Cambria O’Neill and Astrid Andrea Clarkin; his siblings Robert Clarkin and Valorie Scatcherd.
