73Gilbert Thomas Rosa, 76, of Hilo, a retired mechanic technician at the former Hilo Motors, died in Hospice of Hilo's Pohai Malama facility. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Lorna; sons Raymond and Thomas; daughters Lorilei Ching and Karen Zindric; brother Charles; sisters Lucille Foster, Rita Sarme, Shirley Legaspi and Dorothy Rosa; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation: 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. No flowers.
