Jack Melvin Maxfield, 80, of Waianae, a retired owner of the Appliance Place and an Army veteran, died in Kaneohe. He was born in Spokane, Wash. He is survived by hanai daughter Deidre M. Sofa, eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Inurnment: 11:30 a.m. Friday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
