MARGARET TREEN FLOWER Age 90, of Makakilo, a retired librarian at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, passed away on March 2, 2013 while in hospice care at Ka Punawai Ola in Kapolei. She was born in Wigan, England and served in the Women's Land Army during WW II. Following WW II, she married Nelson Sterling Flower of the US Army Air Corps and moved to Locust Valley, NY. After moving to Makakilo in 1994, she became active in the Makakilo Seniors Club. She is survived by sons Eric and Stephen, daughter Carolyn Flower - Lepore, brother Frank Treen, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Interment will be at the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY. Memorial services are pending.
