JARED KEANU SYLVA ALVAREZ 19 of Lahaina, Maui died Sunday, March 24, 2013. Born in Wailuku, Maui November 23, 1993. Survived by his mother Shariann Sylva, Father John Alvarez, Grandparents Frank and Sharen Sylva, Great- grandmother Adelaide Sylva, and numerous Aunties, Uncles, and cousins. A celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on April 12, 2013 at the Kamehameha School Chapel, Maui Campus from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Services will be held on April 13, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lahaina. Public visitation from 9am – 10:30 am; church service at 11am, lunch to follow. Age 73, of Aiea, was born on May 8, 1939 to Edward and Jean Miller in Seattle, WA. After leading a rich and full life, Nancy went home to God on April 6, 2013 while surrounded by loved ones. Nancy was a kind, generous, and compassionate woman who loved life and enjoyed spending time with her family. Nancy was a faithful servant of God and led through exemplary action and uncompromising character. She retired from Triple D Painting Company after 35 years of dedicated service. Nancy enjoyed traveling, volunteering at church, playing BINGO, and loved being involved in her family’s lives. CSM James Santos, USA (Ret) a WWII Veteran, age 84, died on February 16, 2012. Retired in 1987 after 27 years as a Green Beret, US Army Special Forces. An officer and Board Member of Oahu Veterans Council and Member of Army Retiree Council. A life Member of SF Assn., Honolulu Chapter VIII and DAV, serving as State Commander for 2 years. Life member of VFW, NRA, the Vietnam and Australian Defense Forces Veterans, and West Hudson Rifle & Pistol Club. For 17 years, Jim served as Chairman of the Veterans Day annual ceremony at Punchbowl hosted by Oahu Veterans Council. Survived by wife Jacqueline, daughter Barbara Iampaglia of AZ, son James of NJ, grandson Joseph Iampaglia of Ft. Bragg, NC, granddaughter Lisa Cave of AZ, step-daughter Suzanne Buro of NJ, stepson George Naseef of NJ and 2 great grandchildren.
