Coy V. Brown, 97, of Kailua, a retired teacher at Hilo and Washington intermediate schools and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died. He was born in Anderson, Ala. He is survived by daughters Carole Mills and Cathy Sullivan, sister Violet Todd, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Keolumana United Methodist Church, Kailua. Interment: 10 a.m. Monday at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Aloha or casual attire. No flowers. Additional information for an obituary published Tuesday.
