89, of Honolulu, passed away at home on March 22, 2013. James was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on June 21, 1923. He graduated from McKinley High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired as an electrician from Aruda Electric Co. During his retirement, he enjoyed working in the yard, raising pikake, orchids and vegetables. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Nora Yoshie Fujita. He is survived by two sons, Randall and Darryl; three daughters, Arlene Dwiggins, Sandy Matsumoto and Loriann Nagaoka; seven grandchildren and two brothers, Mitsuo and Yoshio. Pearl attended Southern Oregon College where she met and married Robert Hassler. With a degree in Education, Pearl taught in Hawaii before electing to live in Vancouver, WA. Her children and their father survive her: Robert Waikoloa “Waiki” Hassler and Wailana Lee (Jeff) Hull, and four granddaughters whom she adored. In Hawaii, she is survived by brother, Francis (Bobbi) Hasegawa, and sisters, Helene (Charles) Supe, Luella (Billy) Lemn, Natalie (Lawrence) Chang, Ruby (James, d. 2011) Lowe, Nina (Melvin) Schmidt, Edwarda (Walter) Kaneakua, Sue Ann Hasegawa, and many nieces and nephews. Holt Bakery for 22 years. From 1951 to 1953, he served as a Lieutenant in the US Air Force. Lemon was also a retired Hawaiian Electric warehouse employee. Age 74 of Kailua, Hawaii passed away on March 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born on January 23, 1939 in Honolulu and grew up in the McCully area. He graduated from Iolani School and California State University at San Francisco. Peter was the retired Corporate Director & Secretary/Treasurer of Atsugi Kokusai Kanko (Hawaii), Inc., Corporate Director & Secretary of AKK Tour Co., Inc., and General Manager of Hawaii Kai Golf Course Complex. In addition, after 26 years with First Hawaiian Bank, opted for early retirement from his Vice President’s position to join the Atsugi Kokusai family of companies. He is also a retired Colonel (US Army Reserve). He last assignment was Comptroller of the IX Corps. Peter served a tour of duty in the Republic of Vietnam in 1969 and received numerous awards including the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal during this period. During his retirement, he was a member of numerous golf clubs, the Honolulu Chamber of Commerce and a volunteer for the Sony Open in Hawaii. He is survived by daughter: Shannon; son, Shane; brother James; sisters Carol Mikasa and Lilly (Harry) Kawamoto; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. Visitation Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the chapel.
