Haruo "Harry" Iwashita, 88, of Hilo, a retired state Department of Health social worker and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Hilo. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by daughter Noreen A. Ogawa, brothers Henry and Frank, sisters Haruko Akiyama and Amy Kamiyama, and a grandchild. Private services. No flowers.
