Elizabeth “Tod” Haglund King
ELIZABETH "TOD" HAGLUND KING Elizabeth "Tod" Haglund King, 86, passed on April 3, 2013, in Seattle. Tod was born Jan. 31, 1927, in Montana. She traveled to Honolulu to teach at Hanahau'oli School in 1950, retiring after a 26-year career. Tod was a gifted teacher who touched the lives of hundreds of children, describing her Hanahau'oli years as some of her richest. Tod married Philip Lloyd King (deceased) and raised her family in Kailua, Hawaii. She was a docent at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, an active member of the Junior League of Honolulu and Pi Beta Phi Honolulu alumnae, and an avid-world traveler. In her retirement, Tod and Phil spent many happy years at their second home in Volcano. Tod is survived by daughter Maile Feick and husband Alex, son John King and wife Clarice, daughter Julie King Hinsley and husband Scott, and grandchildren Kaylee, Brant, Audrey, Danielle and Lea.
