She is survived by husband, Katsumi Shinsato; son, Melvin (Sookie) Shinsato; daughters, Karen (Glenn) Tamayoshi, and Andrea (Wayne) Oshiro; brothers, Sunko, Teruo, and Seisun Shimabukuro; sister, Fujiko Shimabukuro; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
